Happy FriYay

This has been my View most if this week.
Or from the Passenger Seat...
No Quilting happened, too tired to stitch!
Hope for next week -  no more News of Death and funerals.

25 years ago we became Grandparents!
It really is the Best name to be called.
Happy Birthday to our oldest Grandson!!

It's Another Monday

Last Saturday was a Walla Walla Valley Quilt Guild
Sew-in Day.
After the extra long night before the Wedding.
I needed a better place to put it up and
 really see it all together.
The Design Wall at Eddie's Powered by Fabric was just about big enough.
But not for the last Border on all 4 sides.

Here it is as of Late Saturday night.
I had forgotten the Peony Pink fabric to do
Stitch and Flip Corners on the corner blocks
Kaye Fortner suggested it.
Have to shout out to the Committee.
Quilting by Committee works!
Thanks sew much, the flippy corners are much better on the corner blocks.
It finishes that pink line.
 I am changing Charisma's design
for this wedding Quilt.
Just need the last borders now.
Thanks to Eddie Walker for having a place for
us to gather and sew with friends.
I am happy to be a part of the WWVQG.

FriYay-Almost a Flimsy

The downstairs floor didn't have enough
space for this layout.
Upstairs almost works.

I had Temple Day and Chick-fil-A to go to.

We waited 1 hour 24 Minutes in the outside line.
The drive through looked way longer.
Crazy-YES!
But the Peach Milkshake was worth it!!

Saturday is a Guild Retreat Sew-in Day.
It will be done before they get back
from the Honeymoon.

Here's the Virtual walk through my Hydrangea
and Rose Path. Enjoy!

All the colors!

Love the Purples the Most!!

It's a long Wedding Celebration Day!

WOW-WEDNESDAY

We've been in the YSA for 4 Years.
The hardest part is when our Athletes leave.
This is Lexis who played Soccer at WWCC.
So glad she wanted a picture.

And one with President Humphrey's and Shelly.
She's going home to Idaho to get ready for her Mission in Wisconsin,  I think.
It's one of those cold Northern States.

All the Volleyball players at FHE.

The yard work is keeping me too busy to
 work on my Quilts!
I had to take a break and just breathe.
My view from the Porch.

While finishing, this Dragonfly kept darting by.
It flew by so fast!
I caught it in the corner of my phone.
Paul said he saw a Hummingbird.
I need to sit on my porch more to catch one
 on my camera.

These are the fabrics to Make 16 Blocks.
12" Sawtooth Stars
They'll have two Colors in the Backgrounds.
They are set on point so I decided it would
 look really  😎 Cool!
Then I can add a Big Border!
This is for Friday's Wedding.
I know it won't be Quilted, but they aren't freezing.
This is the Hot time of the year.
I'll get Elizabeth's help to Quilt this one.

Whatcha Working on!
Where are my Commenters???

Happy FriYay!

Happy National Sewing Machine Day
I'm still a Bernina Girl!

This Bernina went on my Mission to Nebraska.
Here I am teaching and sharing at Walla Walla Valley Quilt Guild.

This is the Screen that comes up when
I push the on button.
It says "Let's Quilt!"
And the chime of Da, da da da!

But today I'm Celebrating this oldie but Goodie!
Janome Quilters Dream
For National Sewing Machine Day!!
I have several and it's hard to choose just one. This one has memories of my days working my Dream Job at Hancock Fabrics.
Hancocks opened in Eastgate after we moved to Walla Walla 20+ years ago. I loved helping Quilters choose Fabrics for their projects. Sharing the Block of the Month and meeting new friends in my new hometown. Sadly it closed after 1 1/2 years.
I still stitch on this little Janome. My Granddaughters have used it to learn to Quilt. It makes a beautiful applique stitch on raw edge fusible projects. I love that it is light weight to take on Sew Days.

Here's my Granddaughter at Grandma Quilt Camp!
Stitching on my Janome.
We still need to get the girls back to
finish their Quilts.

What Sewing Machine are you Celebrating today!

FriYay

Here's a fun Quilt swirl.
I love the blue hearts in the corners.

The lilies are all abloom.

Today is my hero Grandpas Heavenly Birthday.
This is how I remember him!
Overalls on, milking the cows.

Tonight is Walla Walla High School Graduation.
Also Zillah's.
I wish I could be in two places.

Same goes for tomorrow.
They both have Parties in the afternoon.

I feel I should be in Arizona though.
My Niece,  Lana passed away.
She is the oldest of my Oldest brother
 Allan's four children.
Her services are tomorrow in Tucsan.

Wow-Wednesday, Hello old UFO

I love a good Mystery.
This Block is from the Digital Dealer Exclusive
Machine Embroidery Club.
June Block

It resembles my lilies outside.

We have an 8th Grade Graduate.
Grandpa Paul couldn't sit comfortably in the bleachers, so he got an aisle seat.
Fist bumb with the Grandson- Bonus.

Is a UFO ever too Old?
2017
I'm thinking the setting caused me to stop this one.
I didn't make Block 11.
I remember 2017 as the year I was in Arizona in November to see my Brother.
Well, that Block is done now.
Do I make 800+ hsts or 400+ flying geese?
That is the Question

More Graduation celebrations to come.
Whatcha making on this Wednesday?

Monday -TaDa

Saturday was our Sew-in Quilt Guild Day.
at Powered by Fabric.
I got the Border Blocks Sashed in rows.
Then put it together after I got home.

Before I could finish the right side border block
I needed to re make this one in Confetti Cottons.
Opps, toes in the photo

I haven't shared my haul of Tula fabric yet.
I still need to make something from all these.
But, What?

I tried to work on the Granddaughters Quilts.
The oldest, getting Married and
youngest, yet to be born.
They get a Quilt, but it's a Secret for now.
No sneak peeks.

Today is UFO Day!
My other projects are a distraction.
Gotta pedal to the Metal if the Wedding Quilt is gonna get done before the Bridal Shower.

I also promised a Quilt to the 50th MLHS
Reunion Committee.
That is in August.
I am OLD for Chrimson and Gold!
I got this T-Shirt at our 20th Reunion.
341 names on there.
My name is in the first column.

Tomorrow is DDE with the Kimberbell
Wildflower Mystery Quilt.
I received the files on June 1st.
Printed the full-color instructions.
Welcome June!

Tonight the Graduation Celebrations begin.
8th Grade first then a bunch of Seniors.
