WOW-WEDNESDAY -Quilt Show Prep

I forgot to post this morning.
This week is going way too fast.
I made a rush trip to Tri-Cities
to get paperwork signed & quilts picked up.
It's the Debut of my GOOD FORTUNE Mystery Quilt from Quiltville.
I have one more Quilt registered that hasn't made its way home from Trends.
Hopefully UPS will deliver it before I have to leave to set up. Or maybe I can get it at the Airport before it hits the truck
 Wish me luck!
Today's is Birthday #8 for Derek!
We will see him in April, for his Baptism.
8 years passes by so fast!

Design Wall/Frame this week

I have my work week planned out.
This Quilt will get the quilting finally!!
No, I didn't get it entered in this week's Quilt Show.  Darn, it would fit the Theme "Quilts Out West "

I have no place to go until Wednesday.
It will be a Grandma date day with Jacob.
I will take Derek somewhere fun while we are in Wyoming.
These two were born 5 days apart.
Grandma's 1st look!
How has it been 8 year's?

Quilt Fest prompts
In the Binding, folded corner labels.
The prompt was to show my Stash...
It would never fit in one frame so I
Shared this picture of the newest Stash, lol
Prizes and a backorder of Abstract Garden by ChristaQuilts, plus some bundles with Purples that jumped into my cart.

Friday Flimsy

I got the Borders on my March UFO!
This is as wild as I get!
#IGQuiltfest prompt got me downstairs.
It didn't take long to attach them.
I watched Mary Poppins Returns.
I have it on my Kindle Fire.
Measure, Cut, Pin, Sew, Repeat!
Just enough snow for one last photo op.
On to be loaded and Quilted.
Betsy is waiting!
What will be Quilted on this one?
I have given a few Quilts away.
It's fun, when I  start a quilt with someone special in mind.
That makes it easier to give it away.
Today's prompt  was for a Special Finish .
This one was made for my Brother's Oldest Granddaughter.
She was married in the Logan Temple.
This quilt has got such a great Story!
Keeping the newlyweds warm in Rexburg.

This Far-Away Grandson turned 11 yesterday.
I don't have many pictures of him.
I see his fathers' cute face in these.
His package will arrive late, but I texted his mom and she told me it's ok, cake, ice cream and celebration is tonight.
I get to talk to him later!
Kinda excited to hear his voice.

It's Spring, I wanna Sing!!
Here are all of the Quilter's Planner Blocks.
I had to lay them out on my Design bed.
2 more Blocks & I can assemble the Center.
Aren't they Springy?
Last week was a great respite from Snow!
Like a mini Retreat.
I was Sew Happy to help my Quilt Buddy with her Preparations for the RxR.
She was thinking of not doing it.
I'm glad she changed her  mind.
That Secret sewing will be shown later.
I have lots of fun Quilts in my head from Trends, I learned a new Technique.
I will show it when I get it done.
Meanwhile , I hear my March UFO calling.
Happy Spring! !

WOW - Wednesday - Off to a Slow Start

It has been a Slow Start today.
I had an early Morning Eye Dr appointment.
A re-test of my Field of Vision was needed.
Didn't know I needed my eyes Dilated also.

When you get older the eyes get dim.
I'm trying to make sure the cataracts and other stuff don't affect my Quilting.

#IGQUILTFEST
Tuesday was #irontips
My 2 Most used Irons.
The Shark I got at BiMart
& Portable Sunbeam mini iron.
Bonnie Hunter recommended it in 2014.
I got mine at Target that year.
It travels with meach to class and Retreats.
My Tip is to use a Wool Mat and Best Press.
Today is #besttipever

This is my small quilts.
All rolled up in the Closet.
Looks like time to sort and Re-Roll.
Folds are less when the Quilts are rolled.
I roll them pretty side out for the most part .

Dear Hubby took my Challenge quilt to Pasco with him. He will take it to Janean's.
Quilt Show is just 2 weeks away.
Monday we VOTE for our favorite
 Challenge Quilt at Guild.
The winners get $$$ prizes.
Pictures later.

My eyes are getting clearer so I dare to operate my machine.
Finishing up the stitching of the borders.
Then, I can load it.
Betsy has been empty for too long.
The last 2 projects have been Quilted with my Bernina with BSR.
 (Bernina Stitch Regulator)
Quiltcam tonight on QUILTVILLE.
I need something to share.

WOW -Wednesday another day to Shovel

I  was awakened to yet another Spam Call!
If you want to talk to me, 6:30-7am is NOT the best time.
I'm thinking that my landline can be GONE!

Image may contain: text that says 'There is an unwritten rule that if you need something and your mom has it it's yours.'

This MEME got me this morning.
It is TRASH day.
DH said last night that we need to de-clutter and fill the trash can.
I fear leaving on our Mission and coming home to an empty house & garage.
This is really NOT Funny!

I'm thinking I do need to get rid of some clutter,
But it won't be while we are surrounded my snow piles.

As for the Quilt Zone...
I hear it calling me.
I have been working more on my Challenge for the Tri-Cities Quilt show.
It is a work in progress
My wheels are turning. Hope I can settle on a finish in time.

I got out Monday to visit Lynn and look for a Backing for Star Valley Stars.
They have moved into their new home so I am feeling a little pressure.
Picture from Them last Sunday.
One more month and I'll get to see those cute faces.

Design Wall Monday - Challenge

I have a Challenge quilt to play with while I wait for Spring.
I know this is not much to show.
I am playing with my Honeycomb Paper Pieces.

The Challenge is to use different  Non- Cotton fabrics and fibers.
I found some velvet and satin to use.

The Quilt show is at the end of March.
My project needs to be turned in 10 days or so.

Friday - Day 6 house bound - OMG Link-up

It's been a long,  long week!
Everyday, I have looked out, there is SNOW.
My 'Pollyanna' is tired...
I never got my February Ufo out
Judy L chose #4 for March.
Laughing cause It was quilted in January!
So my Replacement #4 is
Star Valley Stars
I took the Brown corners out and replaced them with Trees,  & Green border in the last week of February.
It was just what this Quilt needed!!
It just needs the final borders sewn on and a backing chosen.
Linking up HERE with OMG
(Thier link-up didn't change)

Even thought of taking a Snow picture for today, but just couldn't get the energy to take it.
Shoveling & Sweeping wipes me out.
I have to force myself out of bed to do it!
It's March,  I need Spring!
