"If it weren't for the last minute, not much would get done!"
I stitched up my February blocks for
Quilter's Planner BOM
Using 'stashed' fat Quarters for it.
I love scrappy quilts.
Here's the Mini Quilt I mailed to Janet O.
17"square
Hand pieced, Machine quilted
Started in January 2019
Finished February 2019
Made from my collection of Men's shirts.
A few that have been shared from Janet O.
Below are a few of the layouts tested on my 18" Design board.
The 'Honeycomb' Paper Pieces were perfect for a Swap quilt going to Utah.
It's called the Beehive State.
I thought a Beehive layout would be nice.
But the Zigzag won out.
If you look closely a few 'blooms' show.
Not as easy to see as Hexie flowers.
EPP or English Paper Piecing reminds me of my English Grandmother.
Tomorrow is
Grandma 'Flossie' Brown's birthday.
I don't have many pictures of her.
She died the year before I came along.
She came to America to marry my Grandpa.
Grandpa served his Mission in England.
He met her there, and they wrote letters after he returned to Utah.
Her family disowned her for joining
Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints.
My Middle name is the same as hers.
I was named for both of my Grandmas.
