I know that Christmas isn't all about what you got, it's about what you Gave!
Since some of my Giving is still waiting to be opened.
I'm sharing our Christmas Morning here at home.
It started very early.
I had been busy wrapping the last of Paul's Gifts and watching Commercial Free Hallmark Movies.
I heard that Paul was up and went downstairs to find him on his Computer.
We decided we may as well open our gifts then we could get ready for Company later.
Paul had fun choosing for me --- a New Button- up Floral Sweater,
a Purple V-Neck Pullover and a Top that had a Hood with the back left open.(not Pictured)
&
This cute shirt, that was in the wrong size.
I'll have to see if they have it in my size, I liked the color.
Each package was in a Gift Box and taped closed so I wouldn't peek.
When the girls were here last week making goodies, I accidently saw these in the Tree.
They are Bobbins for my Quilt Machine, the only Quilty thing I requested.
He knows I don't need more fabric...
This picture has quite a story.
My Neice, Mindy sent me this Doll wrapped up with a Letter that said,
"When my dad and I came up to Washington for Uncle Derlyn's Services.
My Dad told me the one story how he would tease you that you were going to get a Black Baby for Christmas and he said you would just cry.
I told my Dad then, you need to send her a Black Baby this year for Christmas."
Long story shortened--- her dad, my brother, passed in November.
He never got the chance to get me a Black doll. and she doubted he would really do it.
She felt she had to, just for the Memory.
I remember being told in not so Politically right terms, that if I was Naughty -
Santa would bring me a "N"-Word Doll.
It wasn't a Good Memory, for me.
My Sister said today- one year I did get a Black dolly, and I threw it across the room.
Then my Mom brought out my 'real' Doll.
My Brother; Selwyn and Her were older so they might remember more than me.
As for the Silly DH...
I got him a "Read me a Story"- Santa and Sweets Ticket vouchers.
A couple of New work shirts, a new Christmas Tie and a Sweater to wear under his Suit. (no Pic)
He says he's cold.
I handed him this last package and he hugged it!
I told him it might be breakable, lol
NOPE, it was a New Winter Coat.
I also got a Porch Nativity,
A rotating Waffle Iron like they have at the Hotels,
and a bracket to put one of our TV's up on the wall. (no Picture)
Then we had our Traditional Candy Cane Bread for Breakfast with Orange Juice.
I made it different than normal, using the dough from my Rolls I'd made earlier in the week.
Family came and Played in the Snow.
I didn't get a Picture of the whole Ransom Family, and thier friend Nathan who came.
The kids and Nathan were already in the car.
We should have listened to ABBY, who got a new camera for Christmas.
She took a Bunch of pictures and Her older Sister took some videos of my Nativities, too.
She got a new Combo -Video Camera from Santa.
We ate our dinner of Ham, Turkey, Potatoes and Gravy, Stuffing, Fruit Salad, Olives, Cranberry sauce, and Sweet Potatoes with Marshmallows.
I found out Vincent likes my Cranberry sauce!
There were goodies and the kids ate a few of them for dessert.
I made Brownies and had Peppermint Ice cream and Homemade Hot Fudge to go on them.
YUMMY!!
Roma and Gordon came later and brough me a wreath for my Door, (no picture)
I got for them the Ancestry DNA Kits to do thier DNA TEST
and a Book with a fun bookmark. (no Picture, yet)
Abby took this picture of them.
Who wouldn't smile for a cute little girl with a new camera??
I'm so glad that they all would come and visit.
Most grateful this year that I wasn't Sick.
More of my Giving will be shared next week after everyone has received thier packages.
