Wow-Wednesday- White outside...

Uggg, I looked out and saw that a bit of White is covering the grass.
I have no Tree up and it's kinda sad.
The lights stayed up all year.
Had to put up the star.
The Christmas Cactus is still putting out blooms.
Christmas cards are arriving and getting clipped to the strings.
 Surprise Quiltcam! YEA!!!

Frosty Monday Morning means Sew Day!

Today was full of plans!
I was going to go to the December mtg
of the Tri-city Quilters Guild.
Then go watch our Zillah Grandson
play Basketball.
Alas, Time at home is short and the roads are dicey.
A Sew Day, it is!
Part 3 of my Frolic Mystery is almost done.
I miscounted,  but can make the rest later.
I sliver trimmed them using the
Simple Corners ruler.
Gotta remove the Dog ears.

The weekend was Bittersweet, more Lasts... lots of hugs!
Friday started the weekend with our Ward Christmas Dinner...with pie judging.
I made 2 Pies!
Coconut cream and Elvis Pie.
The Elvis pie was gone first!
I had to taste a crumb off the pie plate.
From my Make a Mix Recipe Book.
I just added Chocolate,  Peanut butter
and Bananas.
Gonna miss my ladies!!
Satutday, Paul dropped me off at the front.
I took this Beautiful photo!
Zoom in to see closer-up of the Nativity.
It is the Reason for the Season!!!

Wow-Wednesday- Last UFO, lol

Last Guild in Walla Walla was last night.
Yummy Potluck food and chicken strips.
Fun Show n Share. No pictures.
I waited to go get in line...
Center of Quilter's  PlannerSew-Along
is done and waiting for Borders.
I said ,"Here's my last UFO!"
I need a King sized Quilt for
My King bed in Nebraska.
I heard a bunch of laughter!!
How many borders needed for King size?
We played jelly Roll Strip Bingo.
I got the 1st BINGO!
22 Strips!
I gave Brandy the Batik ones, lol.

I went to Last Daughters of Utah Luncheon.
A picture was requested.
I found a photo from our camp 10 years ago.
So many Daughters who aren't here anymore - insert :( face.
I am Grateful for the Blog
when looking for old pictures.
Gratuitous photo of my Christmas Cactus.

Design Wall/Floor Monday - Quilter's Planner Sew-Along

I can't  believe I found time to sew!!!
I had to get up early and sew the Part 2 of the Quiltville Mystery 'Frolic'
About 1/2 done in this picture.

After making candy all day with my
girls and my Sister.
Way too much fun!!
They left around 2:30 so I
went downstairs to sew.
The blocks were all made, I thought.
I made the 2 blocks in 2nd picture in August.
They were not correct. 1st Picture is right.
This one was made back in January, with a different background fabric.
I changed background fabric in February.
So I remade the Outer Ring Block 1.
Some rows were already sewn together.
Now, all sections are sewn.
There's hope to Finish the Flimsy
by year's end.
Linking up with Design Wall Monday HERE.

Wow-Wednesday- Quilter's Planner Sew-Along

I am nearly done with this Flimsy.
I'm doing the 'Snowflake' layout.
It's on the cover.

I can't find my October blocks...
I just need to cut some more Background.

Judy chose UFO #6 for December.
Lori Holt's ABC'S.
All the Blocks are made.
Maybe this one will go to Nebraska with me.
Day 4
Christmas Cactus bloom
So happy to see these blooms!!

Design Wall Monday- Frolic Mystery Clue one

The Quiltville Mystery time is happening.
We don't have a Blog link-up.
Instagram is the place to use hashtags
#frolicquilt & #quiltvillemystery
I tried to spend Friday in my Jammies...
I did wake up early, read the clue and
cut a few strips to stitch.

A call from DD#2 took me away for a quick photoshoot in Pioneer Park.
It was fun to take thei Christmas pictures.
I had to get dressed!
Then by 4:30 that day she handed me the Christmas Card.
They picked me up to go see Frozen 2.
Paul didn't go, he knew we had another activity later at the Church.
He was part of the Honor Guard
for the Flag ceremony
at the Last Eagle Court of Honor
in Troop 343.
These 3 young men earned their Eagle!

Friday night I finally got the Strips stitched.
After our shift at the
Columbia River Temple,
I cut and sewed 4-patches.

Since we will be leaving soon after Christmas and my Sister is moving in.
I have opted to not set up and decorate my
Big Christmas Tree this year.
The time I would normally spend decorating will be spent on my Frolic
Quiltville Mystery.
And of course a few homemade gifts...
I will set up a couple Nativity Displays.
Maybe lights on the porch.
The Garage Door was fixed.
We can park the Car in the Garage!

Wow-Wednesday-Counting my Projects to take.

Thinking about which projects to take
with me to Nebraska.
When Paul sorted shirts, I hid the discard
pile from the garbage bag.
Quite a selection here.
I decided to cut just the Back out of each shirt to make more
Moth in the Window blocks for his Quilt.
A nice stack to take.
I'll deal with the rest of the shirt later.
Last count I had made 26 Blocks.
About half way there.

It's a Roll and Pie  making day now that we got back from our overnight Anniversary trip to Spokane.
We braved the chill to walk from the Riverfront park and find the Red Wagon.
I got a Carmel Apple with Chocolate and nuts in the Mall at the Rocky Mountain Chocolate shop.
I  decided we should sleep under our Wedding Quilt again.
Turned sideways it fit the King-sized bed.
Tuesday morning we got up to attend the Early session at the Spokane Temple.
We clean up pretty good for 43 years.
Luckily we missed a 60 car pile up later in the day when it snowed.
Whew, we know that prayers are answered.
A short detour to see my eldest Brother,
who is in Othello.
He's 78 now and in a wheelchair.
I told him we'll be going on our Mission.
He remembers he went to Florida.
I'm glad my DH, Paul had his address saved.

43 Years with Paul

Yes, we have spent 43 years
376,680 minutes
15, 695 days
2, 236 weeks
516 months
In 2020 we begin a new adventure.
Ready or not, Nebraska, Winter Quarters, Here we come!

6 Children blessed our home in Mesa.
We've had trials, loss, love &  lots of teasing.
He is my Paul, with the puppy-dog eyes.
Compared to Mr Rogers, always kind.
Now we have a family that numbers 34.
We more than fill the Pew!!
On December 29th we will see just how many pews we fill.
Happy Thanksgiving/Anniversary Week!
