2019 UFO Challenge link-up

I'm making another UFO list
& checking it twice.
There were quite a few red NOPE
beside my list last year.
All finishes exceeded my goals.
Many were Started & Finished.

1- Tula Pink City Sampler
I have the backing, just need to Quilt.

2- Marti Mitchell The Romance Continues
This is a Flimsy from 2013.
Gotta get it Quilted!

3- Eleanor's 40 Fabulous Years BOM
This one has all the blocks made but 1.

I should make the Log Cabins, but doubt that will happen,
so it's a Ufo to just get Done!

4- Quiltville Mystery
"GOOD FORTUNE"
We get the 2nd clue Friday.

5- Pat Sloan's BOM
"Let's Go Camping"

6- ABC'S
Lori  Holt

7- "Garden Party"
Started at 2017 WA Quiltville Retreat
Tiny blocks to make.
 Lots of scraps to use.

8- Row by Row 2019
Putting this on the list because
It will be one I want to make.
Theme is "Food"

9- "Very Vintage Christmas"
Lori Holt
I can't wait to play with these Blocks.

10- "Moth in the Window"
Started for DH in 2013
Need to double this number of blocks.

11- 1930's Farmer Wife
Started in 2012
Time to Quilt and show at Quilt Show.

12- Rainbow Pinwheels
These were going to be
Disappearing Pinwheel Baskets
Since that class didn't go.
I can make something else with them.
Possibilities are endless.

I will Linkup with Judy L HERE

WOW-WEDNESDAY Quiltville Mystery Part 1 Continues

More 4-patches going under my needle!
I am at home and have my favorite handy tool ready to count and stack them
as I spin that seam.

The process goes on...
Making sure that seam is a true 1/4"
Gotta swap strips and make them Scrappy!

I might have to stitch a few more before Friday.

Ornaments were delivered in time after
Thanksgiving for my girls to go on trees.
We got to see these 3 put their ornaments on the tree.
My DD #1 sent me pictures of her children.
I had fun making them using ABC beads.
Here's a closer look.
I love family Christmas Traditions!

GOOD FORTUNE MYSTERY -Link-up part 1

Black Friday-Mystery Sew-day at the LOFT!
I ate my Pumpkin Pie and went to Sew!
No Black Friday shopping for me, lol.
I was the only one in the LOFT, so I got quite a few 4-patches made.
I was taught how to Spin the back seam when Bonnie did a Quilt Block Party in Portland with Quilty Maker.
The year was 2013 and I am still spinning!

I made some in Bonnie Hunter colors and in my Favorite Combo.
I can sew and get 2 projects done at once.
Here are my colors.
I used the Color cards.
Orange= Blue
Blue=Purple
Red=Pink
Green=Black
This is my 7th Quiltville mystery.
I copied the clues for one other,  it's a Ufo!

Thankful Friday!!

My heart is full of Thankfulness!
The Oldest and Youngest of our children
brought their families.
Just 13 of us.
Thanksgiving was a success.
I worried and fretted about
how to sit all of us at one table.
The youngest is 7. No kids table this year.
It took some shuffling.
Thanks, Dear Hubby, for doing the
heavy lifting.
Starting - Appetizer, Cheese Ball & crackers

Janessa set up her timer on her iPhone to get a group shot. Thanks!!
Only missed 3 people.
Milton is holding the big bowl of Rolls.
I used Aunt Penney's Roll recipe!
The girls brought Mashed Potatoes,  sweet Potatoes, Corn casserole, & Pies.
Imade, Red Hot sliced Apples, yummy.
Stuffing in the Crockpot.
Turkey, gravy, and cranberry sauce.
And as seen in the picture at the top.
There were olives!
Tradition of putting them on fingers, lol

We girls were outnumbered by the guys .
I never get enough pictures with my girls.

The house is rearranged for Christmas now!
I got the Pew back in the house.
With the guys help -quick work of clean-up.
After washing the goblets,  a Triptophan Nap, & a few Hallmark Christmas Movies and a few texts & calls, I am ready for bed.
Quiltville Mystery starts Today!

I'm Ready for the Mystery on Friday.
These colors are plentiful in my Stash.
They are my Happy Colors!!
I added Black to the mix.
We'll see how it goes.
I thought of using a lighter shade of Blue.
The Blue is my Orange. It will be my constant, Kona Bay Blue!
Purple is my Blue
Pink is my Red
Black or a lighter Blue is my Green
I just don't get warm & fuzzy with these.
It's gonna be FUN, no matter the colors.
Are you playing along??
This it my Quiltville Mystery #7
I'VE made a few other Bonnie Quilts, too.
Definitely a Quiltville -FAN!!!

Design Wall Monday - Stay Home days

It's not a good day to go to Tri-Cities.
I will miss seeing my Quilt Guild ladies.
Black Ice on the Bridges warning
until noon. Wrecks reported.
I'm a chicken, so I'm not going out.

I have some straight strip stitching to do.
Working on a Challenge from Tara at Walla Walla Sew Vac and Spas.
I did the cutting at the Sew-in  last Friday.
Watch and see what these strips become.
I have a new David Archuleta CD that I WON from Fountain Books!
Na Dell saved me a copy of  Richard Paul Evans newest book in the Noel series.
Cleaning to get ready for
Thanksgiving !
The Alphabitties help keep the
strip sets in order.
8 of the 9 Strips sets are sewn.
Time to Press!
The Alphabitties will keep them safe while I am busy with family.

I have some more cutting to do for Christmas projects.
Sorry, I can't show you the rest.

My girls like to decorate their houses right after Thanksgiving!
I will wait for Monday.

Design Wall Monday - Mariner's Compass Sunflower -testing Tula Fabrics

I played a little with Tula Pink fabrics
 from my Stash.
I think they're fun to use.
This is the Revised book for the
Skinny Mariner's Compass.
I tested one or two but the strips for the bigger Point isn't long enough for all the
pie shapes, bummer.
I  only finished One
Sunflower Compass block.
Can you see the point that is from a different Strip?
I'm thinking of a different strip to use there.
Decisions,  decisions!

Back to the Splendid Sampler 2 Blocks
One more of the four Blocks finished.
Estelle had teeny, tiny pieces!
I had to use some Purple!!
I liked the video the designer shared to
Trim the small pieces to the right size.
I have emailed this block to her for a chance to win her prize.

Not much else, that can be shown was worked on last week.
Christmas is coming...
My Sister and I  went to a Holiday Craft Fair on Friday in Milton Freewater.
So fun to spend time with her
I saw there is 5 Fridays left.
OH MY!!!

I'm grateful for all those who have served our Country.
Remembering my Hubby's Father
Thanks to his sisters, who shared pictures of him from his WW II days.

Finally Friday! I Love my Quilt Zone!

It's been fun to stay home and make lots of Blocks this week.
I'm all caught up on the
40 FABULOUS YEARS BOM!!
I'm probably not going to make all of the Logan Cabin blocks.
Sorry Eleanor... I  just don't make Log Cabins in my Quilt Zone without lots of bad words and 'ripper' coming out.

Since it was a Splendid Sampler 2 Day on Thursday...
I made a couple of blocks.
The left block is by Jane Davidson.
The Sew Kind of Wonderful gals did the Block on the right.
We are getting 4 blocks per week now that the book is published. I only made 2, the others were more fiddly. It was late in the day, so I didn't want to mess them up.
You get to go to the Designer's websites and see the blocks, read about them and Link-up, plus, there are Giveaways. At least this week there is. Go HERE
No more using up paper and ink!

I also played with the OMG project .
Still 'testing' my cutting and reading skills on the new, revised book.
Pictures???  Maybe on Monday.

WOW-WEDNESDAY, QIAD Block Party

It was a Block making Party at my house, Monday & Tuesday.
I didn't make blocks in August, September or October.
Time for a little catching up on this
40 Fabulous Years Quilt.

It's fun to play in my 1930' s Stash!!
Eleanor's pressing directions help a lot!
I used a few different Reds, Greens, Yellows and Blues.
That Liberty Star Block has 8 pieces in the center. I "SMUSHED" it good.

The Background is a Thimble berries print I have used in almost all the blocks.
Because it is directional, it takes a little extra planning while cutting and putting blocks together.
I hope I have enough to make the final block next month.

What are you working on?
I have figured out the ornaments for my Grandchildren.
I'm waiting for the rest of my order to come in the mail.
Then I can work on the making of 22,
One for each of them.

Design Wall Monday - Quiltville Mystery coming

Halloween means the
Quiltville Mystery COLORS come out.
I had fun running from one Lowe's to the next to get my Paint chips.
I took a set to the LQS.
Walla Walla Sew Vac and Spas.
Had to find some bolts that match
The Block tool will help with keeping the right tone of each color as I find more fabrics in my Stash.
I'm not sure I will stick to the colors.
Gotta add some Purple, lol!

I was Busy on the Weekend.
Not much Stitching.
A nice Relief Society Brunch where we collected over 100 Dresses.

 I watched Instagram Lives
My Girlfriends Quilt Shoppe did from Houston Quilt Market .
They were so cute! Lots of Giveaways & I WON, it's good to play along.
A New ruler to sew Curves.
When it comes in my mail, I'll share more.

With my extra Hour, I cut some fabric to catch up on the 40 Fabulous Years with Eleanor Burns.

Today, I will SEW!!
