WOW-WEDNESDAY - bindings

Bindings...
I got a call a week or so ago.
The lady said she got my name from the LQS aka: STASH. Thanks!!
She had a bunch of quilts needing binding.
I just need to tack it down on the back.
We met up at the STASH for the pick up.
3 of 6 finished.
2 Left to work on.

I have been complimented many times on my bindings!
Why not get paid for doing my fav part?
She even gave me $$ in advance.
I'm keeping track of the inches.

I'm thinking of giving a Binding class.
So many tips that make bindings better!

Design Wall Monday - New project Temptation

Lori Holt started the Farm Sweet Farm SAL HERE
It's week one... time for a Pig and a Horse.
My Simple shapes arrived and I printed out the Free SAL Guide.

But I am not starting this one just yet!
Instead I am making Trees!
EQ8 Makes it easy.
Templates or Rotary cutting?
That is the question.

Watch to see how many I can make this week.
We have Birthdays to Celebrate!

Friday Finish

I had a day at home to play.
My Good Fortune just needed a backing.
I looked and found a bolt that had enough left on it.
Cut it, twice the width and sewed a seam.
Using the Red Snappers sure speeds up
the loading of 'Betsy'!
I used a quilt design by Anne Bright,
KaPow" panto.
It quilted up fairly fast.
8 total passes, 3 bobbins
I used a Wool Batting & Glide Thread.
Time to get it Bound!
I love my  binder clips.
This quilt is registered for Tri-Cities show.

Tonight we get to be with Abby as she is Baptized.

She's the 4th Granddaughter to wear the White Dress!

Design Wall Monday -Good Fortune Flimsy

I headed out early to see if the 2-3" of SNOW
was still on the ground in my backyard.
It was,  so before I left for
Tri-Cities Quilt Guild
I took a picture of my
GOOD FORTUNE flimsy.

At Guild we had Show n Share 1st!
Barb M. took pictures of me & my Quilt.
I wore my Shirt from #Zazzle
After I got done at Guild
It was time to get our Granddaughter,
Abby who turns 8 this week.
We went to Panda Express, then went to Fountain Books for her Journal.
We stopped for Ice cream at DQ on
the way home.
We took pictures at the Temple Saturday.
We'll post those later.
It was a fun day!
I went to see if Quiltmania still had
The fabric I used in the
Pop Tart inspired quilt.
The border finishes the pattern well, but...
I think I need a border.
What do you think?

Friday fun

 It's a Friday!

I haven't shown this Stars Quilt on the Blog for a while.

These are the Civil War Stars I started a few years ago.

I played with it on EQ8 when I visited in October.
The trees will be the main border.
I have a few to make before we go in April.

Tomorrow is #4 Son's 35th Birthday.
He is the one on the left.

His Brother is turning 40 this year.
I love  TBT Thursdays.

Wow -Wednesday Good Fortune Mystery in Process

Mystery time is nearing an end.
As my 62nd year is just beginning.
Can you see where I had to
FROG a few 4-Patches?
I sewed a few more of each Block.
I thought I could make it smaller.
It speaks too loudly... make more!
I have to make more Hst's-easy peasy.
The Half Chevron parts are already made.

My DH likes to surprise me!
I thought we were going out for
my Birthday dinner...
Here's my Favorite cake before it was cut.
My Sister, Roma & Gordon plus DD#2 family
Showed up after my nap.
I'm touched by the memes & messages, phone calls & texts today.

Design Wall Monday - Quiltville Mystery Reveal Link-up 2

I worked all day Saturday getting this far.
I'm liking it more and more.
Especially the multiple Borders.
I had to do a closeup on the borders.
I added more Purples for the final Border!
Some are from Allietare.

This is my 7th Quiltville Mystery.
I've made a few others along to way.
My Midnight Flight and Idaho Square  Dance & Garden Party, which is
waiting for more blocks.

Friday -nearly Finished

After a morning of Chain stitching blocks,
I laid out the parts to see how my
 Good Fortune will look.
I need to remake a few clues.
I have a couple more blocks to fill in.
With about half the Borders.
I have a few more border parts to sew.
I am glad I see the chains.
I'm going to make it a couple rows smaller.
I can always add another border.

We had a Great time with our
Wyoming Family.
There was lots of snow to play in.

I even had a few candles to blow out on the cake Grandpa got.
It was a 4-Hour layover in Salt Lake City.
We both felt sickly.
That made for a long trip home.
We opted to stay in Pasco overnight again.
Driving home late wasn't too appealing.

We look forward to going to our
Mid-shift at the Columbia River Temple.
We'll be in Zillah Sunday for another
Crowther family event.

Grateful to be feeling well enough to sew a bit today.

It woke up in a Marshmallow World!
Grandpa played and slid down the hill.
DS#4 was busy building shelves in their New house basement.
The view from the plane on the flight into Jackson is awesome.
This is our ride for the time we're here.
Happy Monday!

I have a very Busy, Packing day.
Excited for a Fly away weekend.

I will stitch, or at least lay out a few blocks.
I just can't resist.
 String Chain Block
Spinning Star Block in both colorways.
I really like it in the not so Scrappy version.

The Quilt Planner #qpprompts on Instagram continue!
This one reminds me of my
Word of the Year
I took this picture at our Grandsons Basketball game after a Wonderful day at the Columbia River Temple.
This year my "Time Out" will definitely
involve my Grandchildren.
I'm taking Time Out to just Breathe!
Relax & make memories.
There will be no Time Out for Women locally and our Assignment at the Temple makes it so I'm not able to attend
 events on Saturdays.

Have a Great Weekend!
I'll be back to Blog for the
Link-up on Monday.
