Finally Fri-Yay- it's flimsy time

Wednesday stitching didn't happen until later.
My day was a lot like Bonnie's.
Going in Circles.
Errands, paying bills, unexpected phone calls
 and texts with interesting requests.

A Fun Bonus file of Stacked Animals from the
Fresh and Local Bella Box

I started with the WNW at Kimberbell.
It was also a Quilt Alliance Day with
Bonnie Hunter.
I caught her when she was speaking...

I could have packed up my Scraps and gone down to stitch with Eddie and Friends.
Oh, the choices on a Me Day!
They're starting on the All People Quilt Along.
I couldn't find my paper Eddie gave me.
I will try and go to Scrap Day next time for sure at Powered by Fabric.
Google to the rescue.
The link is HERE

They already finished the SAL
I'm not too late.

Today is crunch time for the baby Girl Quilt!
It won't take too long.

Happy Fri-Yay!

Design floor-Tuesday, lol

We drove west to watch 2 Grandchidren play Tennis tonight.
Mt Adams was out on the way there.

Before we left this was on the Frame

Just needs the binding and a label.
Liam hasn't seen it yet but his mom and his Grandma Crowther did after the matches.

Just 2 more to finish, then I can start
something even  more fun, lol

I get to stitch all day Wednesday.
Come back to see what gets done!
I took a few pictures around the yard.

Enjoying full blooms while I can.

The Nebraska Tulips, sew pretty!

From the front. Tulips finally!!

WOW - Wednesday

 Stitching in the Afternoon.
I love the New Bella Box Bonus Designs.
I tried the Shop Local "Garden" one and it wasn't easy to change colors between.
This one was much better!
I'm glad I got a few Extra Totes.
Note to self: Wind extra Bobbins before starting...

My Bella Box should arrive later today.

I just need to sash these 4 pretty Blocks.
They are big compared to my usual size.

Missouri Star Quilt Company
"Time Flies"
Jenny said the hour glass in the center is Time.
The Flying geese... fly

I have full bots of the Pink fabrics.
Thinking about which one to use for sashing.
I have 2 weeks to get it finished.
Can Hardly wait for a road trip.
My Back and Neck might scream at me but I will make it happen.
Happy Wednesday!

Monday, Monday- Sew Good

Because I couldn't decide what to do for
Miriam's New Baby Quilt...
I made this Quilt top with the Instructions in Farm Girl 2.
All Webbed together.
Stitched together in one day
It's called Gingham!

It's a little big for a Newborn...

This was last Thursday at the Temple
I love the Spring Flowers.

Friday's MSQC Tutorial appealed to me...
and I still had the Bolts out from making the Gingham Quilt so
SQUIRREL again.
It was more planned than scrappy.

The NEW Bella Box files were available before the Box shipped so I embroidered
this fun Famer's Market tote pattern on a Denim Blank.
It called Fresh and Local.
Watch for more fun projects when the box arrives.

Today at Tri-Cities Quilt Guild we learned about all the fun Small Groups in the Guild.
I live too far away to join any of the small groups.
One of the Groups brought Show and Tell.

I think the group was called "Scrap Happens"
We had a few younger Quilters in attendance.

This quilt was made for an Alzheimer's Fund Raiser.

After the rain, the tulips are refreshed and blooming so pretty.
I had to get a bit closer up.
These are from the Easter Joy Bulbs we planted in Omaha.
On the East side of the house.

The West Side Tulip Choir is singing its best!
\

Not sure what these are, I've called them hyacinth.
What would you call them?

Spring is Sprung in Walla Walla.
Have a great Week!

WOW- Wednesday

It was Lori Holt Day at home today.
I thought about going down to Eddie's.
It was just easier to stay home.

I've been thinking about how to finish these
2 Quilts for the 2 Great-Grandsons.
They are so long overdue.
Ezra turned 2 last month, I didn't make that date.
Liam has a birthday in June.

I really wanted to put a Lori Holt
Tractor on their quilts.
It took most of the day, but here's the baby size.
Oops, do I turn that top corner block?
I hate when I see it after I try to post.

Ezra's will go quickly once I choose the right Alternate Block fabric.

It's been a busy week!
Monday was Daughters of Utah Pioneers Day.
This was my Tulip Choir!

And it was Sibling Day at Roma's.
I made her the Quilt behind us with Fabric from our Mommas Stash.

Yesterday, we watched Colby's team play
Walla Walla's HS team in Walla Walla.
It was fun to visit with Katie.
We were freezing!
The wind never stops!
Even with 2 coats and a Quilt on me!

Almost a Flimsy - Fri-Yay!

I worked through the whole day on Wednesday  like a Quilting Queen!
(After the Haircut)
But like Potato Chips, I would finish one and had to try to make the next...
NOTE-these photos of the sections are in no particular order.

Puzzles are great to keep a Quilter's mind on task.

Loving all the Different Purples!

This one has a fabrics in it the screams, Look at ME!!!!

Sometimes a colored sashing was added to the section.
Sometimes an added Background was needed.
One of these Blocks was too small.
I didn't check for Errata on the pattern and I didn't want to remake the block.
I just added some coping strips.
I did find a few 16 patch blocks that were too big...
I did use the "Jack" on those and re-sewed them to fit where they went.

It was fun to dig into my Purple stash tote and find just the right thing.

I found a fabric that is close enough for sashing.
I ran out of my Shadow Play, no time to run to the store after Midnight. Or wait for shipping.
I loved the directions to piece the sections together.
Like a great, big puzzle!

9 Sections - all the blocks and sashings put together.
Once I looked at this photo I saw one block turned.
Can you guess which Block is turned wrong?
Easy Fix today.
Then I can put the sections together.

I am so glad when the Bi-monthly instructions said to make X number of Flying Geese,
that I went totally scrappy!
There is an HST and Piano Key Border to make while this marinates awhile.
More scraps leaving the totes.

Great job Quiltmaker Magazine and Denise Starck.
Denise Starck is one of the Staff members of Quiltmaker.
Beautiful Blocks from Bonnie Hunter's ,Addicted to Scraps' column.
I enjoyed my evening of Quilt Yoga while Paul went to the Family History Library.

WOW - Wednesday Again

Can you say SQUIRREL?
The Blocks and Magazine are in the same place.
Part 1 Section is ready to assemble.
I cut the background pieces that I could from
 what I have leftover.
My Hsts for the inner border might be skipped
or I might use a lighter Lavender for those.

It was a Haircut day
I had to wake up early to get there.
I missed yesterday's appointment, the reminder text went to my husband's phone,  lol.
I put the wrong time in my calendar.
Getting older and not so much wiser.
My hair is mostly Gray! Crazy...

Mr. Chuck, the Duck was finally
in my MSQC package.
He's looking for SPRING!
I can see a few more colors showing.

Yesterday was a changing of the bed day.
Rhododendron Trail is on my bed for Spring.
I just ❤️ how nice it is to sleep under a quilt!

I know I should be finishing the 3 Baby Quilts.
Still debating on what to use for Ezras.
The 4 patches are made, just need to find the
right fabrics to go in the quilt.

Happy Wednesday!
The sun came out and melted almost all the SNOW!

Is it Spring yet where you are??

Monday Snow Day - April 3rd

Mother Natures April Fools Trick is NOT Funny this Morning.
30degrees when it should be Springtime temps.

Tulips in the snow, they are sheltered a bit by the roof overhang here.

Chuck, the Duck says BRRRR
What to do with this extra Block add it to the Brother's Quilt.
I might have enough to make a center row up and down.
But it's a Pattern that goes diagonal...

I got small borders on.
Tiny hourglass units in the corners from leftover Stitch and Flip hst's.
The Tractors will be on the back in Flannel.
On to the big Brother's quilt with the rest of the 4-patches.

It's  Monday- Stay at home day.
No UFO Day at Eddie's for me.
Had to brave the weather to see the Chiro.
My back was yelling a bit after all the sitting to watch General Conference
It was worth it!
15 new Temples announced.
