WOW-Wednesday- Show n Share from Royal Ridges Retreat

I forgot to post more Pictures from RETREAT last Friday.
There were so many pretty versions of Bonnie's Designs shared.
No commentary necessary.

The Pinapple Crazy quilts are fun to look at.
Some Quilters have WAY too much time and Scraps.

I chose NOT to go Horseback Riding.
That didn't stop me from taking pictures of those who did.

Bonnie joined us for a Group Picture in front of our Cabin.

The last morning, Bonnie came in and sat by me for Breakfast.
It was a memory making week, sewiing and Retreating with Bonnie.

Design Wall/Floor Monday - Memorial Day

Not much has changed on my Design Wall/Floor
I found the other 3 Moth in the Window Blocks in a tote along with more made up kits to work on.
I need more variety in the colors.

Still having issues with editing Pictures.
I need to figure out how to put a watermark on all my Photos on my phone.
Oh well.

We had a nice day makingour annual Pilgramage to Moses Lake on Saturday.
We gathered to put flowers and Flags on our parents graves.
Just a few Rose buds that I hope bloom big today.
I cut some of my Peony Buds also to Bloom bigger through the weekend.
Purple Iris' or "Flags" fom my home.
My father's flowers were much more abundant and beautiful.
Homegrown flowers anda few R,W& B ones bought to fill the vase.
My Sister and I with 2 of our Brothers.
This counts as our Brown Reunion for the year, right?

Thanks to my Sister and Brother-by-love driving us by Paul's Parents grave also,
Image may contain: plant, flower, table, tree and outdoor
Pete had a vase built to hold our flowers.
All the water drained out the bottom.
I'll take a container to put in with Fresh flowers next time.

OMG- I Finally can Link a FINISH!

The goal of having my En Provence finished in time to show it to the Pattern Designer happened!
Just like I planned.

Started in November after Thanksgiving - completed in May.
Image may contain: 1 person, smiling, standing
Robin took this Picture of me - not too happy about it, was I??
Just bustin' my buttons, lol
We had a Great 2 -Part Show n Share.

The best thing is getting a Picture with Bonnie!
Wearing my En Provence Shirt and TIARA!
It doesn't hurt that MY 4 Midnight Flight Blocks are hanging behind there.
The ones in Seahawks Colors.
and here's the LABEL, Printed with my Picture.

I loved using all my Fairy Frosts and NOT having to change all the colors.
Bonnie couldn't have chosen better colors last year for me.
My Pink is a little softer and I changed the Yellow to a Yellowy Green.
Have to show the Back again.

Linking up HERE with my OMG Finish for MAY!

My UFO Goal didn't see the light of day.
So Sorry Judy L.
Here's to Next Month- What will I choose to Finish?

WOW Wednesday ...What I'm Working On

My Body is still rebelling.
My Bed has captured me and I have slept like a Baby since coming home.
I haven't sewed a stich yet.
I'm still in the un-packing process.
Getting ready for the Next Road trip and Retreat.
It's easiest to do the laundry and re-pack my bags.

My pics on my camera from the Retreat finally Uploaded, but I keep getting a Read-only message.
I took so many that I want to share.

The 301 had it's 'maiden' Retreat at Royal Ridges.
She didn't have a name but she is now "BONNIE"
She did so well.
I used all the bobbins I wound.
Thanks to Carol, my Tablemate's Bobbin winder, I was able to re-wind and use more.

You saw my NEW Projects I worked on HERE.

I had SEW Much Fun stitching between the blocks.
For my Leader/Enders I made many Hourglass and HST units.
Some of the HST's went into these Moth in the Window Blocks.

These are made from DH's Shirts and some Thrift Store finds.
Glad I took some pictures on my Phone.
They take a little bit more Editing before I can post them.

Come back Friday for More Retreat Pictures.

The first Workshop day was Midnight Flight.

Well, Thanks to my ever encouraging table mate, Carol -
who was making a Second Midnight Flight.
We met Bonnie in 2013 at the Quiltmaker Block Party.
Here are my 4 New Midnight Flight Blocks made at Retreat.
Do they remind you of anything?
I think some of my family will really like this one.

Second Day workshop Garden Party Blocks.
I had to lay them out here at home.
25 Posy Blocks + 5 that need some Unstitching, 17 uneven 9-Patch blocks.

Did you miss my Monday Posting last week?
I was in a tizzy getting packed up and getting out the door in time for my Tri-City Guild Mtg.
I packed the car and crossed my fingers I wasn't forgetting something important.
I had made the decision to stay somewhere Monday night and be 2 hours closer to the Retreat.
Thanks to my Dear #1 Daughter-by- Love for her Yummy Macaroni and Cheese
and a place to lay down my weary head.
I delivered early Birthday gifts to these 2 cuties.
At Tri-City Guild I shared my En Provence' and the little Swap Quilt I got from Tennessee.
The it was time for errands and to pick up a Towel at Costco.
I realized halfway to Tri-cities that that I forgot to pack one.

There will be MUCH. MUCH More to share from Retreat pictures.

WOW - Wednesday - Color Crayon Challenge Again

At Guild last week we chose a baggie with a couple of Crayons.

The RULES say:
Pick your Crayons NO PEEKING!
Use these two colors as your main colors in a 12 1/2" square (unfinished) Quilt Block.
Bring to the JUNE Guid Meeting .
We will Vote for a Favorite.
There will be a PRIZE!

How can I pass up this Challenge?
It just ONE BLock!
How hard will that be?

Here are my Crayons
Flamenco & Marrow
Just Pink & Brown, really.

Perfect colors for me, lol
That reminds me of a Story.
Listen up KIDS!!!
When I was growing up, my Daddy asked me what color to paint the House?
Being a Pink Loving little girl- I said "PINK!"
Not only did he paint the house Pink- He bought PINK fixtures for the Master Bathroom.
SAD I can't find any pictures of the house when it was Pink.
My Daddy took pictures of his Flowers and they were all around the White Picket Fence.
Why did we pose outside without the House in back??

Here are some fun pictures of me that I did find from the 1960's.
Living at the house on the Dead End Road.
POPCORN boxes- Daddy cleaned the Theater, I got leftovers

Eating outside on the table my daddy made for me

Wearing a Lei my parents brought home from a Party
Me and my daddy - in his PINK Leisure Suit!
Was I Spoiled? YES!!!
But I LOVED it!

Friday FUN!

It's FRIDAY!!!
We are counting down the days-
Judy D says 4 more 'Get-Ups'

Yesterday, I didn't have much to do and it was a Rainy forecast.
I got my long forgotten Jelly Roll challenge strips out and found a Tutorial
over at Missouri Star Quilt Company.
Jenny calls it Sticks and Stones.
HERE is the Link.
Thanks to Brandi for linking it.

I got this all cut and sewed all the Blocks yesterday.
The tan squares didn't have enough contrast.
I knew when I got this Jelly Roll they weren't my COLORS!
Just need to sew them together and put on a couple borders.
Oh well...it will keep someone warm.

My Bags are packed and I'm cutting more strips for the SWAP.
My Bobbins are wound and the blades on the Rotary cutters are changed.
Gotta find a Special Fat Quarter.

There's Nothing on my Calendar today!
What will I find to keep me busy!???

WOW-Wednesday -May 10th

I put En Provence on 'Betsy' Monday night.
(Edited; Opps it was Saturday)
I had big plans for this Mystery.
Extra borders, lots of fun quilting.
It just wasn't going to happen before next week... so
The Sweetheart Panto spoke to me on Tuesday.
 Close-up of Panto.
All went well until I got to the bottom.
There was not enough room to do the whole Panto. (insert sad face)
I searched the Sites I buy digital patterns from to no avail.
I'll be doing some UN-Stitching after I get back from showing it to Bonnie.

Now comes the choice for the binding.
Pink, lavender or dark purple? ??
The big Reveal will come after I get home from the Retreat!
My OMG for May will be DONE well before the end of the month. YEA!!!

Had to go see my Niece the hairdresser.
She chopped off a lot!

I went to see her NEW car too...
Photo op with a nice car and new hairdo!

Whacha doing this Beautifull Wednesday before Mother's Day??

Design Wall Monday - May 8, 2017

It was a Proud Grandma Day at the Krazy Horse Quilt Show!
O's Debut of her 2nd Quilt!
I'm glad that her parents could bring her down to see it.
They had a Busy day too.
It's nice to have my DD#1 there to take the Pictures for me.
My Granddaughter and I with her Quilt!
How Happy and Pleased can I be?

My Farm Girl Quilt is a Repeat from the Tri-Cities Show

Here I am with my version of the Kid's Camp Quilt and my Idaho Sqaure Dance Quilt

"Flamingo Churn Dash" & "When Bonnie Calls"

After I got home, I rested and then put my EnProvence on the Quitling Table.

The batting isn't the right size but it was the only one that was close to the size I needed.
I found I have one to return, it was marked as a Twin and was only 60" square.
This top measured 68 1/2" Square.
Quilting can happen as I have time this Busy Week!
Hope Betsy is ready to cooperate and get it done...
I am excited to show it to Bonnie at the upcoming Retreat.

Thanks SEW Much for following my Blog and leaving kind comments!
I'm linking as I do each Monday with Judy L of Patchworktimes.

I have to add the Picture taken at the Daughter's of Utah Convention- Friday.
Image may contain: 14 people, people smiling, people standing
The Union and Walla Walla Companies of Daughters of Utah Pioneers met Friday in LaGrande. Thanks for coming Verna Hazelbaker from ISDUP.
(International Society of Daughters of Utah Pioneers)

Here is our Newly Installed Offecers of the Walla Walla Company/ Narcissa Camp.
I am proud to be a Daughter of Utah Pioneers, nearly 24 years in this organization.

The church we met in has these beautiful Stained Glass windows.
I had to take a picture of them.
Verna Hazelbaker told of the old LaGrande Tabernacle that these windows came from.
She challenged their Company to write a Locality History of the Tabenacle.
