May OMG - Link-up

I finally got my May UFO on Betsy!
After I loaded it, I had to check
to see how long it has been a UFO.
I finished the Flimsy April 2013.
That's 6 years ago.

I need to Link-up HERE  by 9 pm tonight.

I'm heading down to get Betsy going.
I'll be back to post again after I finish the Quilting.

I've quilted 2 other quilts this month.
Too bad I didn't link one of those.

WOW-WEDNESDAY Catch-up

We had a good 3 day weekend!
Saturday was spent at the Columbia River Temple.
Sunday was Church, we both spoke about the Temple.
How do we show Reverence for the Temple?
What can we cast out  to make the Temple a House of prayer?
I talked too long so Paul had to shorten his talk a bit.
The shortened Sacrament Meeting schedule means shorter talks, lol

Monday we went to Mesa, then on to Moses Lake.
Image may contain: 1 person, flower, plant, grass, outdoor and nature     Image may contain: Mary Brown Crowther, flower and outdoor
We searched for my Uncle Don and Aunt Caroline's headstones.
Most years we haven't been able to find them.
This year we looked and finally found them.
Look how the family "Decorated" them...
I added some Iris, what my Mother called 'flags'.

I haven't been in the Quilt Zone all week.
Nothing mush to Blog about on Monday.
Plus, I've had this book to read, lol

I have more to share but NEED to go and get my Phone figured out.
I had to upgrade and my old phone is dying (insert sad face)
Wishing you a Great Wednesday

Friday Finish - Star Wars T-Shirt Quilt

This was my post on Instagram.
The Red binding is going on.

I had a change of plans yesterday,  the Wedding Quilt didn't get delivered.
I needed to make a Treat like my momma would make.
I chose to make Petifores for our Relief
Society Meeting last night.
That meant a trip to the store for 'old bananas '
The bananas in my house were too good.
Frosted all over, then rolled in tinted coconut.
These were served at our Wedding Reception back in 1976.
Momma made them ahead and froze them.
The cake was made ahead also from cardboard and Styrofoam. , only the top was 'real'.
A banana cake, that's what I chose.

It was also my Sister's Birthday.
She got to spend her Birthday at the Columbia River Temple.
I need to see her today, but she is working.
We will make the pilgrimage to Moses Lake on Monday to decorate the graves.

Wow - Wednesday -- May is still for ME!

It's been a week of meetings, errands and a little bit of stitching.
I got the Pillowcases made, so I can deliver the quilt wrapped in one.
This Quilt makes # 6 finished for me.
Plus my Quilt Market I am ahead of one Quilt finish per month in 2019.
I also made a 2nd set for a special surprise this week.

I have my Granddaughter's T-shirt Quilt on the frame.
I need to get a backing made and quilt it.
She made it over Spring break.
With no help from me.
She will be able to enter more than one quilt in the Walla Walla Festival this year.

My quilt buddy and I worked hard on her Row by Row for this year while at Trends.
I can share it now.
No photo description available.
It's just a Month until Row by Row Starts.

There is much to share from Mother's Day weekend still.

Finally Friday - May is half over

Some weeks have so many events to attend.
I am glad it's Friday!
This quilt is so wide!
It barely fits on "Betsy".
97" x 107"
After running lots of errands and making a couple visits, I get to stay home.
I only wish I  had bought that ticket to Kansas City, Missouri.
#missingmarket
It's filling my Instagram feed.
Lots of exciting new things coming for my
BLUE -loving Quilty friends from Olfa.
I got a sneak peek email.

It rained on Wednesday.
1 game was delayed and 1 was postponed
I stayed home and made Cookies.
National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day!
I shared some at the game.
I got a message that my grandson's team was winning!!
I  had to drive the Truck,  lol.
More rain is forecasted.
We'll see if the postponed game happens.
Meanwhile it will be a Great quilting day.

WOW-WEDNESDAY - Wedding Quilt -ready for the Quilting

Lexi and Jared's Wedding Quilt
It's got all the borders on!
I  love it Sew Much!
The striped inner border fabric
will also be the binding.
It all started with these blocks April 30.
I had to unsew part of the lighter blocks as needed for the assembly of the pattern.
My Quilt Buddy,  Lynn showed me this pattern and I ordered it from Amazon.
A lot of 2 1/2" squares were used.
Just the extra outer borders were done with the strips.
These strips helped enlarge it to Queen size.
When I shared it at Quilt Guild,  another friend showed me a picture of her version on her Design Wall.

Humble Quilts Doll Quilt Swap linky party day

It's a Link-up day HERE.
This is the Doll Quilt sent to Oregon.
I Hand Quilted it this year.
A Humble Startooth Star in 2 colors.
I made some other blocks but they didn’t make it into the quilt.
I loved taking time to hand quilt.
And the tiny 2" binding.

My Doll Quilt came from Colorado.
I loved that it was scrappy.
The cute pillow case it came in was extra fun!
I  love  this Doll Swap!
I  missed it last year.
Thanks sew much, Lori!!

FLIMSY Friday!

I Did it!!!
I've seen these swirly quilt pics
on my Instagram!
Never done one, how fun to swirl it and take a pic for this Flimsy Reveal, lol.
Sorry still a B&W, pic.
There will be 2 Borders added before the Quilting.
I'm making 2 matching pillowcases
 to go with the Quilt.
Tonight I'll give some Grandma-made gifts to the Bride.

Tomorrow is the Big Day!!
Posted this picture for my TBT.
19 years have flown by.
Thanks for making me a Grandma!
It's a wonderful name to hear.

WOW-WEDNESDAY -Working on it Wednesday

I have just one day with no appointments!
Today is the day.
I went to get advice from my quilt buddy.
Whew, what a difference a inch makes!
Sorry, I am teasing all of you with the
Grayscale pictures.
The center is almost done now that I have
Used my 'froggin' tool.
I had an Ah Ha thought this week.
I should have made
"Jared takes a Wife"
It's a Free Pattern on
Bonnie Hunter's Blog HERE

The Grandsons Baseball games are a good distraction,  but I just can't get to all the games. 2 play in Walla Walla.
Easy to go to when I don't have a Meeting.
Last night was fun, the Tri-Cities Middle School team played in Walla Walla.
And he hit a ball way out past the track line.  HOME RUN #2 for him.
No pictures.
I was cheering! !
We celebrated with Big Cheese Pizza.
No Cheese for the Big hitter!
It's reminiscent of when the Boys came for Basketball Camp at Whitman College.
Big Cheese provided Pizza after each day.

The boy Cousins had fun.
So did the Grandma!!
This is another distraction.
Richard Paul Evans is in Boise tonight!
If I  could , I would go!!
This T-Shirt says it all!

Friday re-cap

Well, I  didn't Blog yesterday.
An extra early wake up to go to LaGrande.
It was a Daughters of Utah Pioneers Convention day.
I missed taking a picture of our group.
These Beautiful windows caught
all of my attention.
In the Children's Meeting Room

In the Chapel of the La Grande
LDS Stake Center.
We usually have gone to the
Island City LDS Chapel.
I shared those Stained Glass windows
I'mso grateful they saved these Beautiful windows from the LaGrande Tabernacle!

Of course, I  see a Quilt somewhere in them.
I have just 1 more week to get a certain WEDDING Quilt off my Design Floor.
Grayscale, sneak peek.
I did get a customer Quilt binding done, too.
The STASH Quilt Shop is nice to give my name out.
I got a call last week and met the owner of this old Quilt at the store.
The backing was brought around to the from the as the finish.
It looked like a binding because they did a top stitching, 1/4" from the edge.
She saw that it was wearing holes, and wondered how to fix it.
It was made in 1976.
She says it is her favorite  cuddle quilt.

I was in a totally different place, this time last year!
Have a great Weekend!

A little Star Wars humor for this day...
"May the Forth be with you!"

This is my 4th time to swap.
2015, 2016, 2017, 2019
I missed it last year, I guess.

My May got a head start with a LOT of Block stitching last night.
A Little bit of Rip-it, Rip-it too.
You only have to wait a week to see, no sneak peeks for the Couple getting married next week.
I've been invited to the Bridal Shower.
Hope to have time to embroider a couple of towels for them too.
I learned a trick to keep the machine going while doing Machine Embroidery.
A DUH Moment at the In the Hoop Class...

I was asked why didn't I give them one from my Quilt closet.
I do have one that could have worked.
 It's my May UFO.

I should be able to get this one done in May.
If only... I have every weekend booked!
