Design Wall Monday- Quick Curve Ruler Challenge

I missed getting a quilt made for this Quick Curve Ruler Challenge.
 Amazing, Fun Quilts!
Life just passes too fast for doing everything.
I should have entered my Pinapple, now that I think about it.
My Sister and I have been busy vacating
This room...
All the Toys have been removed and I  can see the floor!
I didn't take a before picture.
These Vacuum Bags are fun to fill.
Full of pillows and air.

Reduced to a much smaller space.
No dust can get in.
This bag holds 4 totes worth of Kids clothes.
I have  packed a lot of stuff to take to Nebraska. These bags will pack tight in our tiny car and be covered with a quilt.
One suitcase with clothes to wear while in the MTC and traveling to the Mission.
I have a lot more to do to get ready to leave for 18 months.
How many projects can fit in a vacuum bag?
Gotta decide which ones to take first.
Have a happy Monday, I hope to get some time at the machine this week.
Wish me luck.

Design Wall Monday - Vintage Block Along

While enjoying General Conference
at home in my jammies...
I cut and sewed a few Blocks for the
Vintage Block Along with Bee in My Bonnet
HERE is the link.
I ran out of the letter 'S' to set up a picture of this 6 1/2" block, lol

These 5 1/2" blocks stitched up cute.
Lori has posted these blocks from her Grandma's Sewing Basket for 34 weeks.
I have 4 weeks sewn, 2 more cut out.
I need more Bee Background fabrics.
I just felt the need cut out a few more to Stitch.

I love my Ruby Red Olfa cutter, wonder clips Design board and Alphabitties

All the General Conference Sessions I watched were great!
I spotted my favorite singer in the Tabernacle Choir, of course.
They were singing the Primary song
"Faith"

Faith is knowing the Sun will rise
Lighting each new day
Faith is knowing the Lord will hear
My prayer, each time I Pray
Faith is like a little seed
If planted, it will grow
Faith is a swelling within my heart
When I do right, I know.

Now it's a Brand New Week to think on the Talks we heard and re-read the notes taken.

Design Wall Monday- 1st Day of Fall

My friends who Love Fall...
I apologize!
I'm not a fan.
I love the holiday season but Fall colors,
Not so much.
I did get a few stitches in last week.
More "On the Go" Blocks.
Cut, sew, press, trim, Repeat.
 See previous posts.
It was busy with other things.

Brown Sisters at Spokane Temple
Our Hubby's got to come too.
It's been 18 years since I was there.
I will not complain about the 1 hour drive to Columbia River Temple ever again!
Long drive to and from filled our Saturday.

These crops are still not ready for Fall.
Tomatoes for Chili Sauce,  Fall is for harvest.
Our Corn was planted late.
So I say Fall can wait!!
Quilting on the Dryside Shop Hop starts this coming Thursday.
Happy Monday, anyway.

Design Wall Monday - post Quilt Festival

It was fun to attend the
Walla Walla Valley Quilt Festival
This past Weekend the Girls came.
Obligatory Pictures were taken...
Elizabeth had 2 Quilts in the Festival.
The T-shirt quilt she made without any  Grandma help.
Olivia's Quilt was under a big light so she said it looked washed out.
It shows the Quilting though.

Lydia with her 2nd Quilt
She learned so much.
(Hung sideways)
Christen took this one!
Thanks for driving the girls here.
This is why I do Quiltin Grandma Camp ♡
The girls didn't want to stay for the Demo so we left after voting for our Favorites to go eat, but where?
Ice Burg Drive in called to us.
A Local burger place with the best Milkshakes.
We took our lunch to Pioneer Park.
All the tables were in use so we sat by the Pickle Ball courts.
Sorry bout the big Ant pile, Lydia...

My Daughter-by Love Christen
We both got the Huckleberry Shake!
Next time our Girl's Day will include the Maple Counter!
When shall we go??

This was the Winning Challenge Block.
Here are all the Blocks
Mine was similar to the winning one.
Can you spot mine?
4th one on the top row.
Judy Benzel will have a fun time putting her
Challenge Block Quilt together for next year.
I'll share the Winning Quilts later.
It Quilt Guild Day in Tri-Cities.
Gotta take the Girls Quilts back to them
Plus the Other Fair entries and ribbons.

Design Wall Monday- New, Fun Stuff

I have been Blog Hopping and got a bit off track at Happy Quilting HERE.
My Facebook and Instagram friends
 saw this last Friday.
I ordered a NEW iron.
It came and I love it!
It's Cordless and it's PURPLE!
Perfect for pressing HSTs.
I used some 'Paintbox' fat Quarters instead of Charm Squares for my Arrows.
I can stitch up multiples and make a
bigger quilt, right?
Those Grandsons might like it.
Not too flowery,  bold, bright solids.
I have made enough for 8 bigger Blocks.
I think I will need 24 or 36.
It was a distraction on a Stay-at-Home day.
This Squishie arrived from Quilt in a Day.
I signed up for the Mini Block Party
 this Summer.
Each month has brought a new pattern and for September,  though late for the August Facebook Live/YouTube Block party.
It's Eleanor's new fabric line called
Zelie Ann, named after her old
Hometown 'Zelienople' in Pennsylvania.
It's my Busy, get Ready for the
Walla  Walla Quilt Festival Week.
Daughters of Utah Pioneers starts back up today, Tuesday is WW Quilt Guild.
I missed it last month for a Sweets Game, lol.
Thursday is set-up day, Friday Quilt Festival begins at 10am.
Quilts were delivered along with my Challenge Block.
The Granddaughters will come on Saturday.
Our Temple is closed for 6 weeks so I can Spend Saturdays doing other fun things.
Oh, do I have plans!
The BLOG-O-VERSARY prizes have been recieved, Thanks for letting me know that they came right on time.
USPS delivers on time everywhere
 except to Wyoming.
Have a great Monday!

Design Wall Monday

One last Quiltin Grandma Camp
Quilt to Bind.
I've been looking everywhere for it!
This morning, I finally found it.
It's cut and ready to get sewn and pressed
Then I can tack it down while
 I rest up tonight.
It was a busy weekend.
Our 6th Granddaughter turns 6 today.
We got there too late to sing the song, eat the cake, & watch the girlies hit the Pinata.
We had her dad take our picture.
The Bishop took a different one to Submit with our Mission papers.
And now we wait...
Today, I  am  cutting with my
2 favorite Rulers
The Essential Triangle Tool and
 Tucker Trimmer.
These 2 rulers make Hsts better.

Design Wall Monday- Betsy's in Time out

Betsy is still in Time out!
I went to the LQS and asked if they knew why I was getting this error message.
He had no idea!
He said, "Maybe Betsy has taken
 her last breath"
He said to try un-plugging the cables and try again after replacing them.
I've done all that...
Betsy is still stitching in one place and the lights on the controls are blinking.
I read back on my Blog for others time Betsy acted like this.
I am thinking it has to be something
I put back in wrong.
I even looked for pictures in the manual to recheck the connections.
Sorry to Vent again on the Blog!
I got the Binding stitched on my Cascadia.
This is a  crooked picture of it.
The Sew-Along was in 2014.
I 1st tried quilting it back in 2015 HERE.
That was after another time of BAD Betsy!

Here's hoping its an easy fix.

Watch for the next Post.
It's almost BLOG-O-VERSARY TIME!

2019 Design Wall Monday- GD#1 Grandma Quilt Camp Reveal

It's a Flimsy!
And it's Amazing!
I am so proud of the efforts of the Granddaughters this year.
Each one has a Quilt to be proud of.

I am going to be busy Quilting this week.
Of course, after I go turn in the paperwork for the Walla Walla Fair and Frontier days.
I have about 18 days to get them done.
These are 2 new Quilting patterns
I want to try.
I see Big Blue Ribbons on them!

As for my Design Wall,
 it's pretty much the same.
These Big pinwheels need some
slicing and dicing.

Design Wall Monday- Merry Mini Quilt

I have been watching my Instagram Feed.
For a few weeks the Blocks for the
Merry Mini Quilt have been shared.
It only has 4 blocks!
I found this Fat Quarter Shop bundle from the 2018 Jolly Box I ordered.
It looked like similar colors at first.
I needed to add a few other solid fabrics.

Just 1 more to go.
It's still July!
Who could resist making something
Sew cute?
The Free pattern is over at Fat Quarter Shop  click  HERE
Pat Sloan did Block 4
I'll make it this week.
