Wow-Wednesday

All Day yesterday I thought it was Wednesday.
My day was spent with my Quilty Friends.
I sewed and sewed.
I also Ripped and Ripped!
I made a bunch of these blocks.
The pattern is called " Plaidy Cake"
by Cluck, Cluck Sew.
I got more done after laying the block out and just sewing one at a time.
The layout is tricky.
Do I do a row of Lights and darks alternating.
Or make a frame around. Of dark blocks?
 I need the Committee.
Scrap day isn't until September 30th.

Since I didn't get to fly away last week.
I'm missing my kids!
I am confused what day it is.
I have an extra day this week.
I think I'll Sew.

What's up with your Stitching  today?

Went down a rabbit hole making copies of the new Hymns for my Church/Home book.

This is my Finished

I'm also binding a Quilt to Raffle next year
 At the Tri-Cities Quilters Show.
I love the Feathers quilted on this Lone Star Quilt.

Today was my Daughters of Utah
 Pioneers meeting.
All but one were there with dues ready to pay.
It was a good meeting to start out the year.

Time for my Purple Mums!

Wow-Wednesday

Going into the Way Back machine.
Well, just to last week...
I haven't shared the Quilts at the Fair.

A few of the 4-H Quilts.
Same pattern with different results.

Fun color choices.

The Open class clothing in front of hanging Quilts..

Looking to the left.
More Pretty Quilts.

The corner where I did my Demos for 6 years.
Sad that no one was there to watch the Quilts.

A lot of Quilts by friends I don't know and a
couple I do.
My friend, Marilee got a Superintendent Ribbon on her  Checkered Dresden Plate Quilt.

The highlight of my Visit to the
160th Walla Walla Fair and Frontier Days
There was a Quilt of Valor awarded to a friend's son who served in the Army.
That's Mona, She's the local Quilts of Valor lady!
We made those blocks this year at a Sew Day at
Powered by Fabric.

Last night was Quilt Guild.
I am glad I got home in time to go.
I had the Key to get in and Set up.

I turned in the donated Quilts from my friend who can't join us at Guild.
A fun one made from Leftover Minky.

There were 4 of these
Flannel blanket to keep a baby Warm.

And this cute Panel.

Sad that I'm not flying to Kansas City today.
But, glad I can take my Quilts to turn them
 in on Saturday.
And I won't miss my DUP meeting on Monday.
And a few other things that will fill that time...

This Fun prize arrived on my porch.
A mini Quilt made by Janet O.
Her great homemade Soap and an Americana Charm pack and pins with a sweet quilted
 note card with her message.
Thanks sew much for sending it!

Wow, now I'm caught up!
Time to quilt my Challenge Quilt for next weekend's Quilt Festival.

Monday- stranded in Wyoming

Stranded but safe at our Sons home!
It's a Holiday weekend and no rental cars are available around here...

I had to cancel my Trip to Kansas City because I don't know when I'll get home.
The perks of visiting family is also visiting my Quilts I gave to them in 2024.

I am so glad they aren't being used and loved!

I was saving a big reveal of the Sage Green and Cream DWR for when it got hand delivered.
Since I'm not going, here it is.
Hanging up in back for a full photo.

Selfie with me!

From the back of the Quilt.

I hope you have fun plans for your Labor Day.
50 years ago we were in Tri-Cities,
buying my Engagement Ring.
