It's been busy in the Quilt Zone.
Too Cold to go outside!
Class Samples are happening and En Provence is ready to SEW.
My Blocks on my Big 18" Design Board from Fat Quarter Shop
Sashing Strips.
I had the En Provence broken up into 9-Patches.
When I tried to take them down to the Quilt Zone they got tipped and I had to lay it all out again.
So I'm sewing it the way Bonnie directed now.
Mine will be small. There just isn't time for me to do more.
I want it done for our Bonnie Hunter Retreat in MAY.
We are making 2 Projects in Retreat A
Midnight Flight and Garden Party.
I will take a different project to work on the first day.
I never want to make a Midnight Flight again.
There are too many other quilts to make in my lifetime.
Getting older and having a STASH that exceeds my expected life.
I want to make what I want. No Repeats.
Pardon the RANT!
I had fun cutting some HST's with my Rulers.
I wanted to compare
Quiltville Essential Tool and Easy Angle
I cut the parts for a Churn Dash Variation
Lots of HST's to trim
I usually use my Tucker Trimmer, I had this small one handy.
I put it on the diagonal line and only had a dog ear to trim off using the HST Tools
Here are the Blocks I have ready to lay out for my next pattern.
Possible Kid's Camp Class this Spring.
I used a different fabric in the center and will repeat it in the borders.
A Fussy Cut or Embroidered Block would work in the center.
These blocks have many different names and Variations in EQ7
Churn Dash, Double Monkey Wrench, Grecian Square, Greek Square
It was fun to play with it.
This will give them a chance to make the quilts different.
Settings can be different too.
Watch to see how these end up.
I keep waking up and drawing out other projects that come to me.
I need to get the Information for the new Class Schedule next week.
I sure hope the classes go better this year.
I'm going to try some Daytime classes, along with the Kids Class during Spring Break.
