WOW-Wednesday - Splendid Sampler 2

I just can't resist a scrappy Block!
The 1st Block was introduced last Thursday.
It was designed by Alex of Aurifil fame.
My oldest granddaughter is here helping Grandpa with Cub Scout Day Camp.
I got to Quilt/play with her in my scraps after dinner and a Baseball game.
She made the 1st Block also.
She is 15!

I just realized last night that  she
can't do the Row by Row Jr.
It's for ages 6-14.

The 1st 20 Splendid Sampler blocks will be shared on Thursdays with a link to the pattern.
After that the Block reference will be from the New Splendid Sampler 2 Book.
This Sew-Along is hosted by
Pat Sloan & Jane Davidson.
I collected patterns a bought the book for
The 1st Splendid Sampler.
I didn't make the blocks as they were shared. :(

I signed up for the Splendid Sampler HERE
You can too!!!

Quilty-Fun SAL & Scrappy WASIQ Blocks

Today was a good day to stay inside and sew BLOCKS.
I made my Block of the Week for the Quilty Fun SAL with Lori Holt.

I thought we would me these 3 Trees in December, but we took a break over the holidays and they were the blocks to make this week.  Here are all the Blocks so far...

The WASIQ Scrappy Block parts were getting bumped and knocked off the shelf I had the propped up on so I thought why not sew them together and see how they all look.

First I sewed the blocks that had more Neutral Fabrics-
Then the Rest were sewn and added together in the picture below.
The extra one can go on the back...
I like how the Hourglass shows up with the alternated Blocks. It's fun to see all these bits and pieces from other quilts in my scrappy blocks.  The 9-patch pieces in the center are TINY
My Wednesday sewing was mostly fun. The Chevrons are getting done and I can assemble more Celtic Solstice Mystery B Blocks soon.  Lots of Drawing lines on the back to make them.

Here is my Grandson with his replacement hat.
I gave it to him at our New Year's gathering.
This Gift tray arrived a bit later than planned.
Thanks Joe and Kori!
