It has been a Good Month!

I got a Text to meet this cute Grand-daughter on her Field Trip to Ft Walla Walla.
  Her Mother was there too
This display had some of my favorites.  Dolls and a Toy Sewing machine.
I looked for the Quilts but only saw this one in the Gift shop/

Because it's still "MAY FOR ME"

I had to spend a day catching up with some of my BOM & BOW.
Nothing like waiting until the last minute to make the May Blocks for the "Vacation Time" Quilt.
Pat Sloan calls it "Beach Bag Bliss"
It usually rains when I have been to the Beach so once again my block reflects that.
Rain all around and Bathing beauties on the sandy beach.

I enjoy making these 12" blocks - on Thursday not so much.
I was trying to use the Flying geese method but due to Directional Raindrop and Background.
The fabrics had to be changed around from where I had originally planned.

I got my Farm Girl Friday Blocks made just in time for the Next ones to be revealed today HERE.
 Canning Jars & Chicken Foot

I have added another Blue and White block to my Loyal Union Sampler on the Sidebar
G-5 Memory

I hope this May I have made a few Memories.
My Mother's Memory has been on my mind a lot with Mother's Day, Romas Birthday and the Visit I had with my Niece when she gave me these sweaters that were my Mom's.
There were 2 so I had to share one with my only Sister.

Wearing the sweater makes me feel like I'm getting a Hug from Heaven.
My DH took this Picture for us.
My Sister is retiring this year as soon as School is over.
She and her DH are going to serve an LDS Mission.
Their house is already SOLD!
It is meant to happen.

Finally Friday- A Flimsy

It's been a long, busy week!
I am always glad for Friday to come.
I got my 4th Block in the Vacation time Block of the month done.
 It's called Penny Arcade.

After a bit of 'frogging', the Zig Zag Spiderman D9P is a Flimsy.
It only took 7 years!
This one has been sitting waiting for the final side of the border to be sewn on.
I had two extra Border Blocks and needed 4,
I thought about using them on alternate corners but looked at it again on Tuesday
& tried Black Corners and I like how they look.
Now to decide on the backing and how to quilt it.

DH had a Day off so he was doing all the Honey Do's with our 4 year's young grandson.
He got some more grass seed and re-planted in the patches that the earlier seed didn't sprout in.
He fixed the Window on our Attic that had a broken latch and put a screen on the inside behind the broken pane to keep the wasps out.
He got some Quart jars down from the Attic for our DD#1 to use for her PTA
The grandson thought it was fun to go up there climbing the 'secret ladder'.
The Fresh air of Springtime and Lilacs on our walk to pick up his brother was fun, too
I love being a Grandparent.. Our DD #2 was working so they got to come and play.
DD#2 says that we wore them out.  They went right to sleep for her.
The Blooms on my SnowBall Bush are coming out.  I got this for Mother's Day last year.
It makes me SMILE- and remember my Father.

I bought a cafe curtain rod that extends to 86" and had him put it on the Garage, up under the eaves.
The place I had put up the Hooks and piece of Conduit under the Patio gets a lot of direct sun so taking pictures isn't as easy without getting the top of the quilt shaded.
I will have to use the bigger ladder to get up there to attach the quilt, but I think I like it better.
DH helped hang my Midnight Flight to see how an finished Quilt Looks.
I had to stand in the back of the pickup to get level with the quilt, hummmm.
This quilt hasn't been a Quilt show since it was finished after our Local one in September 2014.
I checked and there was still time to enter it in the Krazy Horse Quilters Show HERE .

New Blocks of the Month for me

The first of my New Blocks of the Month Mysteries has started.
Pat Sloan gave us our 1st block on New Year's Eve.
 Here is mine...
"Down on the Boardwalk"

I found these 2 fabrics in my Stash to Fussy cut for the center.

I might have to not Mix these two fabrics.
Hope there is a place for a fussy cut in each month's block.
Maybe I'll make 2 "Vacation Time" Quilts??? hmmmm

This is my 2nd Block of the month to start HERE.

Cindy J sent out the Link on my WASIQ Yahoo group list.
It cost a registration fee, which was less with the Early Bird Registration.
I am excited to use the Downton Abbey fabrics along with a few Stash fabrics
to fill in what the LQS didn't have.
I love Blocks of the month.
No hurry to get it done, I have 31 days in January, right?

I will be doing The Quilt Show Blocks of the month again in 2015.
It's designed by Lynnette Anderson from Australia.
"My Country House"
My Country House My Country House - Introduction - 0

The link for info is HERE.

2- I signed up for the Downton Abbey English Manor Mystery QAL HERE.
It starts January 4th.

3- Pat Sloan is doing another FREE Block of the Month HERE.
She has posted the Supply list. The link takes you directly
to where you can watch her video and get the PDF.
It's called
"Vacation Time"

4- The 2015 Row by Row Experience happens in the Summer.

I will be busy finishing my NewFo's from 2014 too.
HERE is the list from 2014 and the progress I made.
Making the list I did ok the first part of the year but changed my NewFo's near the end of the year.
There won't be a link-up for NewFOs but I'm sure some NEW projects will find me.

My 2 DD's have shown me the quilts they want me to make for them.
Ironically they are in similar colors ---I  don't have much in my Stash of those colors.
I've been designing in EQ7 and will have something to show the ladies at the LQS
when we have our Teacher meeting sometime in January.
These 2-3 original layout designs will be my first Quilt Classes at our downtown LQS.
Walla Walla Sew N Vac has asked me to teach.
I'm excited to start in February or March 2015.

I haven't done any more except the Quilt Ville Mystery that was REVEALED tonight.
Here's a few of my Blocks laid out.

YES, it is Very Busy!

My Mid- Month December Goals are posted HERE
For December's NEW fo I have to add this picture of Paul with his
Moth in the Window quilt blocks on his "Design Wall".
