Well, I have to admit that "Helga" and I are not getting along. I have tried and tried to figure out how to start and stop without making a birds nest underneath the quilt. I was quilting my Shop Hop Challenge and using some new Isacord Thread. Maybe Helga doesn't like it. She kept breaking threads and not moving smooth- problems with my Quilting are not fun! I have way too many Quilts in my house to finish. I turned in the Challenge Quilt but I'm NOT HAPPY with how it looks! It was a small quilt so I tried 'floating the top'. That could be part of the trouble with the puckering.
This picture was taken before Quilting. I'm way too embarrassed to show the finished quilt on my BLOG. The Shop Hop Starts October 3rd. I have had Buyer's Remorse almost since the day I brought her home, maybe I should just sell "Helga" and get a machine that I really want.
The pinwheels are 3-D. The alternate squares were fussy cut with my new Marsha McCluskey 3.5" ruler.
I like the design of the quilt. It would take a LOT of 'frogging' to undo the quilting.
Monday, I went in to see if there were any more entries and took a picture. From far away it doesn't look as bad.
Dear APQS... I sure Hope my Entering
HERE Everyday until December will help my chances to WIN a Longarm! I sure don't have $10,000.00 or $20,000.00 to spend on one. Maybe I should get my family and friends to enter everyday too and give it to me. LOL. Most of my family don't even admit to reading my BLOG.
