Happy Sewing Machine Day!

My First Sewing machine I bought from Brenda Hayes after I was married.
It was the 1980's and the small town of  Basin City opened a Quilt shop.
I made payments on this one. I think it was $500 at the time.
It has been through a lot of wear and tear.
Sewed many costumes and childrens' clothes.

My Nabby's Dowry is FINISHED!!!
I know that I could have removed the Wonky Feathers I FMQ-ed in the borders.
This was good practice and I hope I can figure out how to stitch them right Better!

It's Friday!!!
I hope you have some Quilty Plans in your Week-end.
I have some Baseball and Bindings in mine...

Happy Father's Day to all the DAD's!

Blob-O-Borders

What happens when the sun comes out?  Well, even though it was cold,
I was happy for a SUNNY Day.
I  wanted to hang my 3 most recent Finished Flimsies out and take some good pictures to post.
So TADA!!! count them
#1 - Nabby's Dowry
 #2 Parcheezi
#3 SBS Sarah's Choice Christmas Star Swap- 2009

I know I could have done something more than straight borders,
but I'm happy to put these into the TBQ (To Be Quilted) pile.
I know they have to stay as they are- just a bunch of Tops waiting to be quilted SOMEDAY!

Design Wall Monday- September 16, 2013

Yes, I'm copying Janet O's Setting here.
What do you think?
The two blocks on the left and right bottom corners are the duplicates.
The making of the Last 4 Blocks from this week is HERE.
Swapped out with extra Blocks, Hmmmmm, not much difference. I'll be waiting until next week to sew these together.  I have to wait and see what surprises Pam Buda has for all of us! I still have a baggie full of HST's to make more or maybe use in one of my "Bucket List" Quilts ie: Ocean Wave or Feathered Star.

It's time for a MID Month report too.  Of my 4 Goals I have completed the last 2.

It's FRIDAY!

It' s been a busy and frustrating week. Wednesday this cute Puppy came in the mail from Wisconsin to cheer me up. Thanks mmcjt who Blogs at the Highlighted link.
She's the same lady who made my Quilted self that I use for my FB and Blogger Profile Pic.
How did she know that when I met my DH 37 Years ago the Puppy Dog Eyes
were something that I was attracted to???  Yes, They were. He's not so into remembering the First Date and going back to the Fair in Moses Lake. It just wouldn't be the same without him. We haven't been back since 2011, I blogged it  HERE.  I don't want to drive 2+ hours alone just to eat a Spaceburger by myself... I made him a Chicken Taco Salad.  I had the yen for Taco Salad since my visit to my Cousin's Guild in Utah.  I adapted the dressing recipe a bit since I didn't have the exact measurements.

Friday also means that PAM BUDA is posting the next HST Block in the Nabby's Dowry SAL.
Here is my #2 block and the one posted today #6.  Cute, HUH??

One week from yesterday, the exhibits will be brought in for the FAIR here in Walla Walla.
Judging will be happening Friday and I'll be busy with setting everything up in the Pavillion.
Have a good week-end everyone.
